Larkspur Takes Up Tobacco Issue

Smoking ordinance highlights City Council agenda tonight.

Larkspur is taking another look at tobacco ordinances within city limits.

The public is invited to weigh in during tonight's City Council meeting on a proposed ordinance that would greatly limit areas where people can smoke. Smoking would be prohibited in multi-unit housing and public gathering areas.

The proposal would also further regulate the sale of tobacco products to protect minors.

Also on the agenda tonight is a request for an extension to the agreement with the Marin Rowing Association and an update on the construction of the new police facility.
