Crime blotter for the towns of Larkspur and Corte Madera.• A resident of the 400 block of Via Casitas reported via 9-1-1 she could hear a male subject yelling in the street fronting the apartments. A second caller reported the same and that the subject was pounding on a door and yelling. Officers responded and located the male subject, a Petaluma man, who was arrested for Public Intoxication. He was booked at the Marin County Jail.• A resident of the 500 block of Via Casitas reported her windshield was vandalized on her vehicle. Two other vehicles were also located with damage. • An employee of Neil Cummins School reported paint was thrown on the outside of the building. A group of male juveniles were seen earlier in the PE closet and may be the responsible subjects. He stated he was unsure when the incident occurred, but the paint is still wet. The area was checked, but no subjects were located. A Vandalism report was taken for documentation. • A resident of the 30 block of San Clemente Drive reported via 9-1-1, her boyfriend pushed her and hit her in her head when she was carrying her 2-month old baby. During this one week time period, Twin Cities Police had 317 calls for service. This included three calls related to hit and run accidents and six property-damage only accidents. There was one auto burglary, two commercial burglaries and four residential burglaries. There were no calls related to Driving while Intoxicated. • A Social Worker for Marin Children’s and Family Services reported he responded to a residence in the 700 block of Meadowsweet Drive on a report of the parents using Methamphetamine and concern for the children. He advised that when he contacted them, both adults had signs of active use of Methamphetamine. He advised that the male subject became volatile and screamed and yelled at him in the parking lot. As soon as you're out of sight, thieves have a chance to break into your car and grab anything of value. The Twin Cities Police received five auto burglary reports within the past week, March 22-27. Going to the gym for a workout? Well, while you're hard at work on the treadmill, someone else could be hard at work on your car. Twin Cities Police received separate reports from three people who said thieves broke into their cars, which were parked near the Bay Club at the Corte Madera Town Center. Another victim reported her car was broken into while she was parked near the 24 Hour Fitness in Marin Country Mart in Larkspur. There have been several similar reports in recent weeks. • A Corte Madera resident reported a male subject came up to her, put a knife towards her neck and tried to kiss her. She screamed and pushed the knife away causing a laceration to the palm of her hand. Officers responded and contacted the victim, who was transported to the Marin General Hospital Emergency Room for medical attention. The Twin Cities Police successfully reunited owners within 24 hours with cars that had been reported stolen. • A resident of the 10 block of Drakes Way reported that sometime during the night, his vehicle had been stolen. A Stolen Vehicle report was taken and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. Later that same date, the vehicle was located in the 10 block of Via La Cumbre.
