Hospice By The Bay and Marin General Hospital Foundation Awarded Grants By The To Celebrate Life Breast Cancer Foundation

Seven non-profit agencies in Marin County have been awarded grants by the To Celebrate Life Breast Cancer Foundation, a volunteer-based nonprofit organization whose goal is to ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone.

The foundation has announced the recipients of their 2012 grant awards to be distributed among 19 Bay Area nonprofit organizations totaling $237,513.

The grants will be given to nonprofits which help women and men with breast health issues by providing financial support for the underserved, for early detection screening and diagnostics, and for emotional support programs, and education. For more information call (415) 455-5882 or visit www.tocelebratelife.org

“We are extremely grateful to our many sponsors, donors and countless volunteers who help make these grants possible,” said Jane Pallas, Board President. “These grants will help fund programs all over the Bay Area and will offer much needed services for anyone who has breast health issues.”

The 2012 Grant Recipients reflect the diversity of services and communities To Celebrate Life seeks to support.  Grant recipients are located all over the greater Bay Area and cover services from early detection to hospice care.

Prop 37 would have exempted "organic" food from the labeling requirement. What sense doesRead More that make? (Answer: none.)
