Marin Brewing Company is Five Time Grand Champion White Knuckle Double IPA is Top Winner for Imperial IPA at 2012 United States Beer Tasting Championship™

Larkspur, Ca--The 18th Annual United States Beer Tasting Championship (USBTC) recently commenced and Marin Brewing Company’s White Knuckle Double IPA has now taken Grand Champion status in the category of Imperial IPA/Red Ale five out of six years, beating out competitors from six other regions across the country. In 2012, a total of 502 beers from 127 breweries were examined across 15 different beer categories and the judging scale incorporates aroma, flavor intensity, balance, complexity, and mouth-feel. Proprietor Brendan Moylan is excited to make such a showing, “Northern California is known for it’s BIG hoppy beers. We brew assertive ales for all our hop lovin’ fans.
