Drake and Redwood Robotics Competitors

Ten Drake High and Redwood High students competed at the Tracy NorCal VEX Toss Up Tournament as members of the Marin Robotics Team 2456 on Saturday, February 8, 2014, ranking 16 of 62 teams competing, and reaching the semi-finals.

 

Marin Robotics is in its second year as a VEX robotics team. The team consists of a total of 19 Drake and Redwood High students and meets twice a week, once at each school.  Team members competing at the competition on Saturday included Danny Geitheim, Éamon Kummert, Oona Kummert, Kevin Makens, Noah Marty, Bryden Pearson, Max Starr, Seth Vigneron, Jordan Wang and Jacob Wynd.

Teachers and Mentors for the team include Rod Milstead (Drake High), Millie Hackworth (Redwood High), Kathleen Phelps, Program Director and Coach, along with additional support from Roger Kummert, finance support, Jim Murphy, engineering support, Cal Hinshaw, programming support.
