World's Largest Turkey Resides at Town Center Corte Madera For The Holiday Season

WORLD’S LARGEST TURKEY RESIDES AT TOWN CENTER CORTE MADERA FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON

San Francisco and Marin Food Bank will collect donations of canned food and dry goods to help Marin families in need

The World’s Largest Turkey will make its annual appearance at Town Center Corte Madera beginning on Friday, October 25 through December 31, 2013. Each year at holiday time, the Giant Turkey is a favorite attraction for Town Center customers and a visual treat where families and children can support their community by donating food and toiletries for families in Marin County who need assistance. 2013 marks the 20th year that this handsome turkey has nested at Town Center and it has undoubtedly become a favorite place for shoppers to stop during the holiday season. The giant turkey’s bobbing head greets visitors and beckons them to donate canned food, non-perishable items and toiletries which will be collected and distributed by the San Francisco and Marin Food Bank. www.shoptowncenter.com

“The turkey at Town Center is a big attraction each year,” said Stan Hoffman, General Manager of the Town Center.  “We have seen firsthand how generous Marin residents are, and we love to watch as families make their donations to the food bank and to those who are less fortunate in our community.”

“The World’s Largest Turkey food drive is a light-hearted reminder to donate to those in need this holiday season,” says Paul Ash, executive director of the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks. “In order to meet the need, the Food Bank relies on the support of the community. We couldn’t serve the one in four people at risk of hunger in Marin without the generous donations from food drives like the giant turkey at Town Center. We are truly thankful for the contributions of our Marin residents.”
