Book Discussion For Teens

Around Town June 26-27: Books, farm-fresh food and movies.

Teens are invited to join Amy Stoll in discussing “The Dark Days of Hamburger Halpin,” by Josh Berk at the Corte Madera Library on Wednesday at 7 p.m. In this teen novel, Will Halpin, in spite of discrimination and bullying due to his deafness, manages to solve a mystery surrounding the death of a popular football player in his high school class.

• Fun for the whole family wiht free movie nights Wednesdays at Marin Country Mart. This week, watch the sweet story of a boy and a dolphin in "Dolphin Tale" on the outdoor screen. The movie starts at 6 p.m.

• Now's the time to pick up fresh fruits and berries at the Corte Madera farmers market in the Town Center. The market opens every Wednesday, noon to 5 p.m.

• Join the Larkspur Walkers for some exercise and a great jaunt through downtown Larkspur. The group walks approximately 3 miles within an hour, and routes include some hills and easements staircases as well as level terraine. Meet at 9 a.m. at the east end of the Piper Park parking lot, near the picnic area. Arrive 5 minutes early for easy warm-up exercises before the walk.
