Daily Planner: Map Your Next Adventure
Around Town July 17-18: Discover great Northern California hikes; expand your imagination with science experiments; and find more fun in Corte Madera and Larkspur.
Driving Highway 1 can be a beautiful experience, but sometimes you need to leave the car behind and take a hike. Join Tom Courtney on Wednesday at 7 p.m. for a photo essay introducing some of the remarkable multi-day hiking adventures he features in his new guidebook, Walkabout Northern California: Hiking Inn to Inn.
Imagine a daylong hike along the spectacular Bay Area coastline from the Marin Headlands to Point Reyes National Seashore, with a warm meal and a comfortable bed waiting for you at the end of your travels. The seminar includes tips on gear and great places to stay.
Register for this free presentation at www.rei.com/stores to reserve a seat. Seating may be available at the door, even if registration is closed. The seminar meets in the Town Center Community Room.
