Larkspur Sizzles With Annual Fair

Downtown Larkspur was bursting at the seams Sunday during the city's annual party to welcome summer. Fun-seekers packed Magnolia Avenue between Ward Street and Larkspur City Hall for the annual Larkspur Flower and Food Festival on a picture-perfect day.

There was a long line for hot dogs and sausages fresh off the grill, as well as corn on the cob and beverages. Mill Valley-based restaurants Cantina and Grilly's were two of the heavyweights in the salsa contest.

Venders crowded the street with samples of artwork, chocolate, blankets and jewelry. The brick and mortar stores on Magnolia opened their doors to capacity crowds as well. Emporio Rulli did a steady lunch business, as did Mag's Frozen Yogurt.

Live music from Doc Kraft, the Unauthorized Rolling Stones and other bands kept the crowd dancing from start to finish.
