Mollie Stone's Aids Local Food Bank

Fundraiser from the Bay Area markets tallies $3,483.52 for the San Francisco & Marin Food Bank.

Local Mollie Stone's Markets are going beyond the grocery aisles to help feed area families during the holidays.

The nine Bay Area Mollie Stone's Markets presented the San Francisco & Marin Food Bank with $3,483.52 on Nov. 14. The Food Bank will be able to turn that dollar donation into 10,450 meals to local families.

"Mollie Stone's and the San Francisco & Marin Food Bank share a passion to feed our local community," stated David Bennett, co-owner of Mollie Stone's. "We are delighted that our customers' generosity and commitment to their community will support this worthy cause."

The money was raised during a Food For All summer campaign between June and August.

Mollie Stone's, which first opened in Redwood City in 1985, has stores in Greenbrae, Sausalito, Palo Alto, Burlingame, San Bruno, San Mateo and San Francisco.
