There are a few other idea for the weekend, of course:

• Come and make a bouquet and card for mom this Saturday at the Marin Country Mart Farmers' Market! Enjoy brunch with mom and make your own flower farm bouquet (this is a kids only project). This activity will be located beneath the big farmers market tent, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Flowers for this activity are provided by local flower farms, Crane Creek Growers and Thomas Family Farms.

• Celebrate Mother’s Day at the Tavern at Lark Creek with brunch offerings ranging from the classic Eggs Benedict with black Forrest ham, arugula, muffin, skillet potatoes and hollandaise sauce to a more adventurous Wagyu Steak Meatloaf, served wrapped in bacon, with a side of grilled asparagus and garlic smashed potatoes.

• Head into the Marin Headlands to identify blooms, practice field sketching techniques, and learn about popular pollinators, Sunday 1-4 p.m. Then stop by the Headlands Native Plant Nursery for a stewardship and seed planting project. $12 per person, pre-registration required.
