On Saturday, Thank a Cop

Sept. 15 is designated as National Tell A Police Officer "Thank You" Day.

If you see a cop on Saturday, give him or her a round of applause.

It's National Tell A Police Officer "Thank You" Day

The goal is to show support for police officers through small acts of gratitude or by simply saying “thank you." The men and women who comprise police departments across the country, including the members of the Twin Cities Police Department, put their lives on the line daily to protect the citizenry. Yet they often get a bad rap, according to the Whole Truth Project, an organization with a mission to support law enforcement officers by promoting a pro-police message.

So, if an officer is driving by, give a thumbs-up, a wave or some golf claps. If you're passing by one on the street, say something nice or shake the officer's hand. We dare you.

Prop 37 would have exempted "organic" food from the labeling requirement. What sense doesRead More that make? (Answer: none.)
