Plotting Out A Community Garden

Around Town May 21-22: Corte Madera Community Garden supporters are still hoping to put down roots in Town Park. Join the discussion Monday at the Community Center.

How does your garden grow? It's not just a nursery rhyme, it's the question before the Corte Madera Parks and Recreation Commission on Monday. The commission will meet at the Corte Madera Community Center at 7 p.m. to discuss a possible alternative site within Town Park for a community garden.

Proponents have been trying for months to find a place where they can break ground on a garden. The original planned site in Town Park met with heavy opposition and other proposed sites have been discussed. Finding a site that makes everyone happy hasn't been easy, though.
