Real Men Read Poetry In Larkspur
Around Town June 12-13: The library will host a poetry reading Wednesday night at Larkspur City Hall.
The Larkspur Library will host a poetry performance reading in the Larkspur City Council Chambers, "Real Men Write Poetry," on Wednesdayfrom 7 to 8:30 p.m. Performing will be local Marin Poets: Calvin Ahlgren, Dick Brown, Shawn Pittard, Sandy Scull, Sim Warkov and Joe Zaccardi.
Here are a few other things to do this week:
• The Corte Madera Library is hosting a special class for teens Tuesday at 4 p.m. to help teens recreate, redesign and organize their rooms.

• Join the co-founders of Trans-Sierra Xtreme (TSX), Challenge Chris Casado and Mike Murphy, for a digital presentation of their favorite trans-Sierra adventure, a week-long 75-mile journey across remote sections of Sequoia and Kings Canyon to the summit of Mt. Whitney. The REI presentation begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
• Author Rosecrans Baldwin reads from Paris, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down at Book Passage in Corte Madera on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The author, a self-described Francophile, dreamed of living in Paris — drinking le café, eating les croissants, walking in les jardins — despite the fact that he wasn’t exactly fluent in French and was ill prepared to earn a living in the French city.

• In observation of the upcoming Father’s Day holiday, Hospice By The Bay is offering a unique opportunity to remember our fathers. The group meets Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m.
• Stock up on healthy fruits and vegetables at the weekly Corte Madera farmers market every Wednesday, from noon to 5 p.m., at the Town Center.
