Santa Claus Is In Town

The jolly old elf is making several stops around Larkspur, Corte Madera and Greenbrae throughout the holiday season.

Shouting "It really is Santa Claus!" the little girl rushed over to greet the jolly old elf. St. Nick arrived at the Bon Air Shopping Center not in a reindeer-powered sleigh Saturday morning, but in the cab of a bright red fire engine, with lights and sirens.

Children lined up to sit with Santa and have their photos taken, while a talented elf handed out balloon animals. Santa will be at the Bon Air Center December 8 and 15, from noon to 4 p.m., next to Wipeout Bar and Grill.

Musicians will add to the holiday merriment with live performances every Saturday in December, from 1-3 p.m. The N9 Singers kicked things off Dec. 1 and will return Dec. 15. The N9 Singers are an all-female a cappella ensemble performing a wide variety of arrangements from jazz to pop to the classics.

The Pacific Chamber Symphony will perform Dec. 8 and 22. The Pacific Chamber Symphony has entertained music lovers for the past 24 years, blending the energy and power of a symphony orchestra with the tender tones of a chamber music ensemble.

Santa is also visiting good little boys and girls at the Corte Madera Town Center through Dec. 24. Shoppers can also have presents gift wrapped by volunteers from Hospice by the Bay. And don't forget to feed the Giant Turkey with canned foods for those in need.

Santa will join the Grinch at Marin Country Mart's Farmers Market on Saturday, Dec. 15. Ever since the Grinch found the holiday spirit he's been on Santa's nice list and a regular helper.

Santa gets around (with the help of some magic), so you can also visit with him at The Village Shopping Center, near Sundance, through Christmas Eve.
