Secrets To Make Your Pictures Perfect

Around Town June 20-21: Learn how to make the most of your digital camera tonight at REI; Get back in the habit of sharing handwritten letters.

How many vacation memories have been ruined by pictures so fuzzy that you can't tell if that's dad in a canoe, or the Loch Ness Monster?

Digital cameras have made it so much easier for anyone to take snappy pics just by letting the camera do most of the work. Take the time to unlock all the features on your new camera and you'll have photos suitable for framing.

Find out everything you need to know about the basic functions of your digital camera from a professional photographer Wednesday at 6 p.m. at REI in the Town Center. The class will cover exposure settings (automatic to manual mode), metering, auto focus, use of flash, file size and type, and playing back images. Space is limited. The cost is $50 for non-members, $30 for REI members.
