Talk to Santa: Volunteers Host Christmas Hotline

Kids can call a special hotline three days this week to talk to Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, Frosty the Snowman and others.

Just because Santa lives in the North Pole doesn't mean that our kids can't talk to him!

The Desert Recreation District in Southern California is once hosting their "Santa's Hotline" on Dec. 18, 19, and 20. The Indio-based organization has hosted the annual event for the last 15 years, and they encourage children to call in from all over, Northern California included.

Last year, a total of 2,325 calls were received by the holiday troupe — coming into the call center from as far away as New York, organizers tell Patch.

By calling the number, kids can talk live to Santa, Mrs. Claus, The Elves, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph & his pals.

Santa and his friends will be waiting for calls Tuesday – Thursday from 5p.m. – 9p.m.
