The Grass That Ate Kentfield

Rants & Raves: CalTrans saves visitors to the Twin Cities from getting lost in the weeds.

When was the last time you took a moment to praise someone for a good deed, or yelled out to tell everyone how impressed you are with someone?

Well, I almost never hear anyone say anything nice about CalTrans, but here goes. The saved Kentfield from being completely eaten by tall grasses.

Visitors to Larkspur coming from the East Bay might have gotten lost if they tried to follow the road signs. One sign on Sir Francis Drake under the Highway 101 overpass was practically hidden by clumps of grass. The sign directs traffic toward Kentfield and to the Highway 101 South onramp, but it doesn't do much good if it's invisible.

Not long after I posted a request to have some grasses cut back, they were right on it. I wonder if they do lawns?

So, good job CalTrans and thanks for saving Kentfield.

Now it's your turn.

Come on and give a shout-out to the person or group in our community you feel deserves the praise. Maybe that’s someone at the grocery store who found your wallet and turned it in. Maybe it’s your own child, you received all A’s on her report card.

Tell us, tell the entire community, who did something special and should receive this praise.

Not feeling all that positive and you’d rather sound off on what’s bothering you? No worries, we have a forum for that as well, just go here and join in that conversation.
