Larkspur Library Event: Armchair Travel, Amazing Adventures in Antarctica with Grandma

The only thing Diana Saint James’ mother wanted for her 80th birthday was to take their family of eight to … Antarctica? They did it this past December and Diana will share tales of frozen adventure and magnificent images of their voyage to The White Continent.

Parades of penguins, ice-lounging seals and humpback whale flutes filled their camera lenses. The family kayaked among icebergs, sledded on glaciers and polar plunged on Christmas Eve.

Come and dream about traveling to the bottom of the world. Bring your questions for Grandma, who will be in attendance. This presentation is part of the Larkspur Library’s Armchair Travel Series coordinated by Dimensions in Travel. It is a lively, friendly opportunity to learn about Antarctica and zero birthday travel.
