LOCAL SAX STAR JAKE BOTTS PERFORMS WITH FRIENDS AT PICCOLO PAVILION

Jake Botts has amazed audiences on his saxophone since he was a very young Corte Madera boy. Home from his first year studying music in Nashville, he will be joined by some of his outrageously talented friends to perform new original music, and possibly some cover tunes by artists ranging from Miles Davis to Amy Winehouse to Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. The band will be playing a style of jazz coupled with elements from bluegrass, funk, R&B, and hip-hop. To hear some of his most recent recordings, please visit http://jakebotts.bandcamp.com.

This free Summer Concert, sponsored by the Corte Madera Community Foundation, will be on Sunday, July 15, 5:00-6:00pm, at Piccolo Pavilion in Old CM Square, the little park at the bottom of the hill where Tamalpais Drive meets Corte Madera Avenue.

Bring the family, a blanket or camp chairs for sitting on the grass, and maybe a picnic dinner. Relax and enjoy live music with friends and neighbors.

The Summer Concert Series goes from June 17-August 26.  For information about the other bands performing this season, go to www.CorteMaderaCommunityFoundation.org.
