Mt Tam Swing Dance - West Coast Swing Lesson and Dance

Learn to partner dance like Lacey on Dancing With The Stars! West Coast Swing is sexy, slinky, and fun to dance to contemporary music! Come by yourself or with a partner. Leaders rotate so no partner is necessary. Beginner lesson starts at 7:30pm with National Champion Kelly Casanova. Dance starts 8:45 pm until 11:45 p.m. $15 includes lesson and dance.  West Coast Swing (WCS) just happens to be the California State dance. WCS evolved out of the lindy and jitterbug to become a more sophisticated, smooth and diverse dance. It allows you to “play” with your partner and can be danced to a variety of music including rock, R&B, contemporary, Motown, hustle and more. More importantly, WCS is a social dance which means that you rotate partners during the lesson and, if you choose, frequently change partners during open dancing.  Join the fun on Saturday night!
