Music at Piccolo Pavilion on July 4th before Parade

Be entertained by big-band music at Piccolo Pavilion in Old Corte Madera Square on July 4th while waiting for the Parade to arrive!  Enjoy listening or dancing to the 17-piece Ray Simpson Big Band playing the music of the 30s, 40s, and 50s--from swing to jazz, starting at 10:00am in Old Corte Madera Square.  These local musicians have performed professionally for years.  You'll hear arrangements created by the late Ray Simpson, along with favorites from Count Basie, Les Brown, Jimmy Lunceford, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, and Glenn Miller.  This popular band recently won the 2011 Community Spirit Award for providing years of big-band dance music at the Rec Center on the second Wednesday of every month.  Now everyone can hear them on the 4th of July, too!
