Talk on the Mansions and Gardens of the Hudson River

Lynne Soldavini and Norma King from Dimensions in Travel will give a talk on the Mansions and Gardens of the Hudson River. Lynne owned a florist shop for many years and loves exploring the gardens of the Hudson River Valley. Norma loves to sample the local cuisine, shop and visit the region’s magnificent Gilded Age homes such as  J.D. Rockefeller’s Kykuit, Frederick Church’s Olana estate, Eleanor Roosevelt’s Val-Kill, the Vanderbilt Mansion, Franklin Roosevelt’s Springwood and Washington Irving’s Sunnyside home. Norma and Lynne will share stories and pictures of their visits to this scenic and historic valley, outside of New York City. Come and dream about traveling to New York and bring your questions. The presentation is part of the Armchair Travel Talks coordinated by Dimensions in Travel and Larkspur Library.
