Twentieth Century (play)

TWENTIETH CENTURY by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur, adapted by Ken Ludwig, directed by Billie Cox

Romantic screwball comedy at Ross Valley Players. This hilarious adaptation features egomaniacal director Oscar Jaffe whose career is on the downslide, when he boards the luxurious 20thC Ltd and encounters his former discovery and ex-chorus girl Lily Garland, now a temperamental Hollywood star. He pulls out all stops in persuading her to return to Broadway to be in his upcoming show. Will he woo her back?

Based on an actual eccentric Broadway producer, see the Battle of the Sexes in all its Art Deco glory at The Barn! See website for dates, showtimes, and ticket prices.
