‘Glee’ Star Chris Colfer to Appear at Corte Madera’s Book Passage

Known for his role as Kurt Hummel on the hit TV show 'Glee,' Colfer will be signing his newest book, 'The Land of Stories: The Enchantress Returns' in August.

 

Golden Globe-winning actor Chris Colfer, best known for his role as Kurt Hummel in the FOX musical comedy-drama T.V. series Glee put the promotion of his latest book on hold following the death of fellow cast member Cory Monteith.

After taking time to mourn, he’s about to embark on a tour across the country to spread the word about his latest novel The Enchantress Returns, the second book in his The Land of Stories series.

Colfer will make stops at a number of book stores across California, including at the Book Passage in Corte Madera on August 16 at 6:30 p.m.; Copperfield’s in Petaluma on August 17 at noon; and Barnes & Noble in El Cerrito on August 17 at 5 p.m.

Colfer’s The Land of Stories is a children’s fiction series described as a modern day fairytale. His first novel in the series, The Wishing Spell, shot to the top of the New York Times best-seller list. It tells the story of twins Alex and Conner Bailey who fall from the real world into a land of fantasy.

In The Enchantress Returns, the evil Enchantress who cursed Sleeping Beauty is back with a vengeance, and the twins learn she has kidnapped their mother. Against the will of their grandmother, they must find their own way into the Land of Stories to rescue their mother and save the fairy tale world from the greatest threat it's ever faced, according to a release from the Book Passage.
