Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

FARM DAY 2011

Where/When: Marin Civic Center Exhibit Hall,10 Avenue of Flags, San Rafael, Thursday, 9 a.m.-noon.

Why Go:  Celebrate National Agricultural Week (that’s quite a mouth full) and bring the kids to meet the ranchers and farmers that grow their food. The kids will have a great time with hands-on activities and cool exhibits. Plus the farm animals are always a big hit.  Moo.

Pricing: Free

PARENT & CHILD CROWN CLASS

Where/When: Paper Source, Corte Madera Town Center, Corte Madera, Saturday, 10-11 a.m.

Why Go: Because this class is all about glitter, beads, crystals, stamps and glue. The kids can get creative and you’ll leave with a masterpiece (plus a sweet memory).

Pricing: $25 for one parent and one child, each additional child is $10, for ages 4-8.  Reserve your spot by calling 415.927.1528.

CHILDRENS TOY & CLOTHING SALE

Where/When: Marinwood Community Center, 775 Miller Creek Road, San Rafael, Saturday 10-4 p.m.

Why Go: Because the kids have outgrown their toys and it’s time to refresh the collection. Why not check this sale out? Maybe you’ll find that perfect toy that’ll entertain them quietly for hours. Yeah, sure you will.

Pricing: Depends on what shiny thing catches your eye.

ROCKY HORROR SHOW

Where/When: San Domenico School, Hall of the Arts, 1500 Butterfield Road, San Anselmo, Thursday-Saturday, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: This edited version of the Rocky Horror Show still hits its mark with the kids and there’s plenty of room for audience participation. Come on,  let's do the Time Warp again.

Pricing: $10 general admission, $5 for students and seniors, 415-258-1989

PETIT FASHION SHOW

Where/When: Tutu School, 2201 Larkspur Landing Circle, Larkspur, Saturday, 2-4 p.m.

Why Go: Because your mini fashionista will get a huge kick out of this show. Watch the petit Tutu schoolers walk the runway in the latest and greatest. Afterwards there’s dancing and treats for everyone.  

Pricing: Free unless you’re tempted by all the pretty frocks.
