Halloween Comes Early to Larkspur, Corte Madera

"Hotel Transylvania" brings laughs and screams to theaters.

We've seen ghosts, witches and skeletons on Magnolia Avenue ... and it's not even October yet.

Hotel Transylvania hits North Bay theaters this weekend, following Paranorman in the leadup to Halloween. Hotel brings together all the classic monsters for a vacation from haunting. The hotel, run by Dracula (Adam Sandler), has one specific rule: No Humans Allowed ... until a romance sparks between a young man and Dracula's daughter Mavis.

The film also features: the Invisible Man (David Spade), Frankenstein (Kevin James), and his bride (Fran Drescher).

Perhaps the most anticipated animated Halloween release is Tim Burton's reworking of his short movie Frankenweenie, in which young Victor Frankenstein resurrects his lovable pooch Sparky.

So, get your Halloween decorations early. Set up a graveyard on your lawn. And share your best Halloweedn pics with us on our Facebook page through October.

Prop 37 would have exempted "organic" food from the labeling requirement. What sense doesRead More that make? (Answer: none.)
