Saturday:    

A stellar cast comes together for this second installment of Robert Lepage's new production of the Ring cycle, conducted by James Levine. Don’t miss the chance to experience the Metopolitan Opera live.

If you go: Tickets are $30 and can be bought here. Saturday is live from 9 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.  is at 549 Magnolia in Larkspur.  


Saturday:

Over 25 of Marin's eco-friendly gardens are available on this self-guided tour, and 18 of them are new this year. Take this opportunity to visit and ask questions of homeowners and professional landscapers involved with the garden's design, installation and/or maintenance.  Garden highlights include, but are not limited to: rainwater catchment systems (e.g. cisterns and swales), smart irrigation controllers, permeable walkways, greywater systems, edibles, native and drought tolerant plants, urban chickens, and a cob bench.

If you go: A $10 registration fee is required and can be made by contacting Brown Paper Tickets at 1-800-838-3006 or online here. Registration includes a Garden Guide that details features of each garden and directions for getting around.

Sunday:

A dazzling display of automotive classics from Europe and America, as well as vintage campers, trailers and wooden boats, will highlight the 3rd Annual Marin-Sonoma Concours d’Elegance. Along with more than 200 cars on display, vehicles in 19 classes will be judged by automotive experts and enthusiasts. A few of this year’s fascinating vehicles include a brilliant red and chrome Rolls-Royce Torpedo Tourer, An exceedingly rare 1918 Chevrolet V8 touring car as well as a rare showing of American Bantam coupes, sedans, and Speedsters microcars.

If you go: Tickets are $20 and sold at the gate. Children 16 and under are free if accompanied by an adult. Pre-sale tickets to a private VIP Tent with gourmet food and beverages are $75 each (includes admission to the Concours). To purchase tickets click here or call (415) 479-7727. The Concours is open from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Marin County Fairgrounds, Marin Civic Center in San Rafael.
