Monday:

The Marin County United Veterans Council will hold their annual Memorial Day services on Monday at 9:30 a.m. honoring those who gave their lives in the service of our country.  The service, which is free to the public, will be at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium at Marin Civic Center. The service will include band music, a Junior ROTC marching group, a military vehicle display and a wreath-laying service at the base of the memorials on Avenue of the Flags. Coffee and doughnuts will be served afterward. Guest speaker will be Col. John Lipinski of Travis Air Force Base.

Monday:

Put your training to the test and run one of the fastest 10K courses in the Bay Area: the Marin 10K, a flat, certified loop that kicks into high gear for a dramatic finish in the College of Marin Stadium. Or challenge yourself to a walk, run, or racewalk in the Don Ritchie 5K. And don't forget the very popular and fun Youth Track Races for kids 12 and under!
If you go: There are three ways to enter: (1) by mail; (2) online; and (3) in person on the morning of the race, between 6:30 and 7:30 am. Registration is $35.00, Youth Track Races are $5.00. A parent or guardian's signature is required for all entrants under 18 at College of Marin, 835 College Avenue in Kentfield.
