Bel Airs At Bon Air: Classic Rides On Parade

Hot rods, convertibles and race cars are part of the mix in Greenbrae.

Dave Cancel of Windsor loves driving his classic Chevrolet, which he had to rebuild with parts he bought from various places throughout North America. He was just one of the car afficionados showing off their passion at the Bon AIr Shopping Center on Saturday.

Larkspur's Angela Curley and husband Art were handing out magnetic football schedules. One game to highlight is the Oakland Raiders' home game against the San Diego Chargers in the NFL regular season finale on New Year's Day. Their son, Travis Laboy, plays for the Chargers.

"We have a whole pregame ritual," Angela said.

Some of the cars are just for show or parades. Others are retired race cars and museum pieces, while some still race at the drag strip or the road course at Sonoma's Infineon Raceway.
