Book Passage Calendar: Penn Jillette and Two Kid-Friendly Events

Check out half of the legendary magic group Penn and Teller, then take the kids to Book Passage again Saturday morning and afternoon for a pair of family-centric events.

Book Passage has several events coming up this week, one specifically for adults and the other two geared towards kids.

Wednesday, Dec. 12:

Penn Jillette, 7 p.m.: Penn Jillette presents Every Day is An Atheist Holiday ($25.95). The larger, louder half of legendary magic act Penn & Teller, and New York Times-bestselling author of God, No!, is back with a new collection of spiritual rants and hilarious ravings - the perfect year-round gift, when you consider that every day is an atheist holiday.

Saturday, Dec. 15:

Jan Klyce, 1:00 p.m.: Special for kids! Jan Klyce presents Andrew’s Wish ($15.95). Andrew finds a box of gifts that Santa left behind. He carries the box through the snow to find the kingdom of the elves, hoping the gifts can arrive by Christmas. The message of love will transport itself into the heart of every reader. Includes a CD narrated by Kelsey Grammer.

Puppet Show with Rebecah Freeling, 11:00 a.m.: Rebecah Freeling presents a puppet extravaganaza for kids and families. Freeling is a storyteller, an experienced early childhood educator, and a parent coach. Her folk and fairytales are enhanced by her own handmade table puppets and simple marionettes.
