Free Ben & Jerry's, Support Singers Marin Tuesday

Here's one sweet way to support local nonprofit Singers Marin on Tuesday: Grab a free Ben & Jerry's ice cream cone and make a donation.

Singers Marin is teaming up with Ben & Jerry's in Greenbrae for "Free Cone Day." From noon until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, customers can grab a free ice cream cone and make a donation to Singers Marin, adult and youth choral ensembles that perform throughout the community. 

If you stop by at 3:45 p.m. or 4:15 p.m., you'll be personally thanked by Singers Marin through youth group performances outside of Ben & Jerry's. 

"Free Cone Day" started in 1979 as a way to thank customers for making their first year in business a success, according to a press release. 

This year, Ben & Jerry's in Greenbrae chose to support Singers Marin, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year. Last year, Singers Marin held more than 40 free performances at senior homes, 15 public concerts and performed at many events throughout the community.
