Hospice By The Bay Hires IT Director

Computer technology veteran Will Jones accepts position with local non-profit.

Hospice By The Bay, a non-profit healthcare provider with offices in Larkspur, sent out the following release regarding a recent hire:

Hospice By The Bay hired Will Jones as its Director of Information Technology. Jones will oversee a department that handles the IT needs of 260 employees in three sites — Larkspur, Sonoma and San Francisco.  

Previously, Jones served for four years as IT consultant at Daughters of Charity Health System in Redwood City. Before joining Daughters of Charity, he was IT Director of Networks & Computing at Worldpac, a Newark, California-based auto parts wholesaler.

Jones says he is excited to join HBTB because it gives him the opportunity to apply his IT expertise to furthering the hospice mission.

“I’ve been in IT for a long time, and worked in a lot of industries,” Jones says. “To work in an agency dealing with end-of-life care is a privilege. I feel that everything I do here is meaningful.”

Jones is a San Francisco native. He earned a B.S. in political science at San Francisco State University.

Hospice By The Bay, which serves Marin, San Francisco, northern San Mateo and Sonoma, is dedicated to providing the highest quality of end-of-life care to patients and their families regardless of their ability to pay. Hospice By The Bay also serves people whose lives have been altered by the loss of a loved one through its community grief support program.
