• College of Marin's production of Shakespeare's As You Like It opens Thursday, March 1, at 8 p.m. with a pay-what-you-will preview. The official opening night is March 2 at 8 p.m. Performances continue Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through March 18. Tickets are $20 general, $12 for seniors and $10 for students, COM employees and alumni. Call 485-9385 for reservations.

• Take some time off to hang out with Daytona 500 winner Matt Kenseth on Thursday, March 1, as he rides a cable car from Vista Point on the North side of the Golden Gate Bridge to Ghirardelli Square for an ice cream party at 11:30 a.m.

• Enjoy a free class Thursday, March 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Fit First Pilates of Marin. Call 415-264-2157 to reserve space as class size is limited and filling fast.

• Author Jennifer Chiaverini visits Book Passage in Corte Madera on Friday, March 2, at 7 p.m., to talk about Sonoma Rose, her new Prohibition-era story, set in California. It follows the fortunes of one woman who plunges into the unknown for the safety of her children and the love of a good but flawed man.
