Meadowlark is Not Just a Lark

Meadowlark Fine Jewelry in Corte Madera Town Center is here to stay

For over 35 years Marin County’s has been a mainstay on the gift and jewelry scene.  Starting out as a local favorite for handmade cards, art glass, jewelry and ceramics, it has evolved into a well rounded gallery, featuring the world’s most respected artists in fine jewelry and American craft.

Many long time Marin residents enter the store and fondly share their memories of this local treasure.  Customers are often heard saying, “I have loved this store since the beginning!  You always have such beautiful things!  I can remember when it was in Larkspur on Magnolia…”

But, Meadowlark Gallery is now Meadowlark Fine Jewelry, carrying local and international designers including: Pandora, Marco Bicego, Gurhan, Aaron Basha, Nanis, Sarah Graham, Susan Goodwin, Somers and of course, custom Meadowlark Jewelry.

Each member of the Meadowlark sales team has been specifically trained in jewelry and fine craft, with a focus on outstanding and personalized customer service.  They also do jewelry appraisal, jewelry cleaning and repairs.  They continually evaluate their inventory to assure that it meets and exceeds the expectations of their clients, and are always looking for new lines that would add an element of style and sophistication to what is already a well established designer environment.

For example they have recently added jewelry from trend setters, Chan Luu and Alexis Bittar.  Owner, Sue Abrams shares, “Jeff and I just returned from the JCK Las Vegas Jewelry Show. There was so much beautiful jewelry.  We are just now narrowing down our choices to add bridal lines to our store.  We want to continue to serve our wonderful Marin and Bay Area customers with the highest quality and fashionable jewelry possible. Many do not even know we are here… we would love them to stop by, so we could get to know them and they can see all our beautiful merchandise…”

One of their most popular lines is the world renowned Pandora Jewelry.  Customers love the “create your own” charm bracelets.  Children often arrive with their fathers to create a memory charm bracelet for their mothers.

One customer, Peggy Butler, of San Rafael shares, “My children were so excited to present me with the Pandora charm bracelet they created for me…they could hardly wait for Christmas morning…my 5 year old was so excited.  She wanted ME to open my gift before she even opened her presents!  Now that’s amazing!  And I love my Pandora bracelet.  I am always “hinting” to my husband to take the kids to Meadowlark to buy me more charms…I’m addicted… and they have a customer loyalty program.  They credit money to your account, depending on how much you spend, for future purchases.  What a great store.”

Meadowlark also does complimentary gift wrapping.  Many customers are in awe of all the choices of paper and ribbon that create the one of a kind package designs.  When Alexandra Fee, of Mill Valley, came into the store for the first time and saw the finished product of her complimentary gift wrapped packages, she said, “They are so beautiful!!  They will not want to open them!  I will be coming here now for all my friends’ gifts.  I love this store.”

Jeff Cohn, Meadowlark’s graduate Gemologist, talks about the state of the art Matrix 3D Digital Design System (see video) he uses to custom design jewelry for his customers, “This system gives us the ability to create jewelry that is not necessarily possible with the old traditional way of hand carving waxes.  It gives for a lot more available detail, as well as, being able to make changes, as per the clients wishes, with very little effort in rendering a new picture for them to see… without reconstructing the whole piece from scratch.  It’s a wonderful visual tool.  And a lot can be done through email, making it more convenient for the customer.  They don’t have to come back and forth to the store to look at different redone hand drawings.  They can tell me something via email, I can make the change within 30 minutes, and have a picture back to them of whatever their wishes are…”

So stop by the Meadowlark to browse their beautiful jewelry and gifts.  I am sure you will find something wonderful to give that special someone or even find something for yourself!  And be sure to say hi to Sue and Jeff.
