Earthquake Recap: Four Quakes Shake Bay

Several earthquakes hit just offshore this week.

Four small to medium-sized earthquakes made waves on the Richter scale near Marin County over the last week with the largest measured at 3.3, offshore directly west of Daly City.

Generally, earthquakes that fail to break the 2-mark on the scale are difficult to feel far from the epicenter. As of Sunday evening, 26 people reported feeling the 3.3 earthquake on the U.S. Geological Survey website, including two people Novato and two in Petaluma. Thirty-six reported feeling a 2.7.
