Ferry Collision At Larkspur Terminal

Boat hits the dock, fouling the morning commute.

A Golden Gate Ferry collided with the dock at the Larkspur Landing Terminal at about 8 a.m. Friday, according to reports from our watchful Larkspur-Corte Madera Patch readers.

There was no immediate response from the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, which operates the ferry service.

The ferry was apparently returning from San Francisco.

The 8:20 a.m. ferry to San Francisco was cancelled and taken out of service at least temporarily. Operators pushed another, slower ferry into service, which was due to depart at 9:05 a.m. Commuters who chose not to wait were given vouchers for a future ferry ride.
