Light The Menorah, Sit On Santa's Lap, Happy Holidays To All

Around Town Dec. 20-21: Christmas and Chanukah events this week.

• This season isn't only about giving and receiving gifts, of course. The Village is joining with the Osher Jewish Community Center and Max's Deli to present a week of Chanukah events, beginning Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Congregation Rodef Sholom will host a menorah lighting event Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. with Cantor David Margules, including singing, dreidels, and “gelt” for the children.

• Need a hand with wrapping all those gifts you just bought? Never fear, volunteers from Hospice by the Bay are waiting at the Town Center Corte Madera with paper, tape and scissors in hand. Gift wrapping is free, but a donation is appreciated. And don't forget about the "World's Largest Turkey," which is collecting donations for the Marin Food Bank.

• Santa Claus is also in town ready to pose for photos all this week at the Town Center and The Village.

• Had enough of Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph? Check out Arthur's Christmas at the Lark Theater this week.
