Twin Cities Brace For Storm

Another round of wet weather has officials and PG&E crews standing by.

It's officially spring, but we're not done with the winter weather yet.

Cloudbursts opened up over the Twin Cities area Wednesday night and high winds and rain continue to make navigating the roads difficult Thursday.

The storm has left 2,700 PG&E customers without power in the North Bay. PG&E reported 40 customers in the Larkspur and Kentfield areas were without power. West Marin schools were closed due to hazardous driving conditions on Highway 1.

There is a slight change of thunderstorms in the afternoon, which could produce small hail. Highs are expected to be in the mid-50s, with winds of 25-35 mph and gusts of 45 mph.

Showers are likely Friday, with highs in the mid-50s and winds of 15-20 mph.

As of noon Thursday, there had been no reports of storm-related power outages or damage in the Twin Cities.

The California Highway Patrol reported flooding on Lucky Drive, a sight residents have gotten used to over the years. Kevin Kramer, Director of Field Maintenance and Operations for Corte Madera, said he expects high tides to crest Golden Hind Passage later in the day.
