Adair Lara: How to Write Memoir

Lara shows all the elements of the memoir:
the arc, reflective voice, scene vs. narrative, fact vs. truth,
and writing about family members. There will be in-class
exercises. Writers of fiction and essays are welcome. A former S.F.
Chronicle columnist, Lara is the author of twelve books, including Naked,
Drunk, and Writing, her guide to essay and memoir.
