Educator Appreciation Breakfast with author Katrina Fried

Barnes & Noble Corte Madera, located at 313 Corte Madera Town Center will host its Educator Appreciation Breakfast on Saturday, October 12 at 9am. The breakfast will feature guest speaker Katrina Fried, author of the new book American Teacher: Heroes in the Classroom.  Space is limited for this event, so attendees must RSVP by Thursday, October 10 to crm2274@bn.com

Ms. Fried "has been creating unique visual narratives that push the boundaries and traditional limits of illustrated books for years. In 2012, she authored Everyday Heroes: 50 American Changing the World One Nonprofit at a Time (winner of the IPPY Gold for Book Most Likely to Save the Planet, the Nautilus Gold Grand Prize, and finalist for ForeWord's Book of the Year). In 2008, she wrote American Farmer, and as Senior Editor and Associate Publisher of Welcome Books she has produced numerous award-winning and bestselling titles. She lives and works in Petaluma, CA and New York City."

The Educator Appreciation Breakfast is part of Barnes & Noble’s fall Educator Appreciation Days, October 12-20, during which all Barnes & Noble stores and Barnes & Noble.com (www.bn.com) will offer special discounts, promotions and giveaways for homeschoolers, preK-12 educators and administrators.
