Emily Marks at Book Passage

Combining her love of books and fiber art, Emily
Marks shows how artists develop their ideas using thread as a medium in
their work. Thread Loves Paper ($20.00) depicts the history of covers,
bindings, hand embroidery, machine stitching, and altered books, and then shows
how contemporary book artists build on this past to make new works of art.
