Friday Nights on Main Celebrates Olympic Swimmers

It's a street party!

Dive into fun at Tiburon's Friday Night on Main Street, from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 27, and meet Olympic and international elite swimmers who will compete on Sunday in the world's fastest open-water competition; the RCP Tiburon Mile.

Race founder Robert C. Placak is sponsoring the Friday event, where you can groove to live music by Pablo Cruise's Dave Jenkins, meet and mingle with friends, and enjoy al fresco wining and dining in the street featuring local restaurants.

Visit with charitable beneficiary Hospice by the Bay's own swim team, led by Honorary Team Captain, Steve Clark, a three-time gold medalist at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Clark wil join the Hospice by the Bay team to race the nautical mile from Angel Island to Tiburon in Sunday's competition. The team is raising funds to support the nonprofit health care provider's community programs.
