Barnes & Noble Corte Madera will host a free Hands-On Learning event teaching children “The Power of Creativity” on Saturday, February 8, at 1pm. The event, for children ages 4 and up, features the Creativity Can™ by Creativity for Kids®, and is designed to inspire maximum creativity and imagination, while encouraging children’s sharing and storytelling skills.
“Creativity makes anything possible,” said Laurel Kidd, Community Relations Manager at the Corte Madera store. “With this powerful thought, our partners at Creativity for Kids developed the Creativity Can™. Filled with feathers, colored paper, and googly eyes, among other fun material, the Creativity Can stimulates a child’s imagination and assists them in creating amazing objects. The materials, while simple and familiar, were thoughtfully selected to inspire maximum creativity. Children will have the opportunity to introduce their creation, tell a story about it, and in conjunction with Valentine’s Day, decide whom they will give it to. Through this exciting program, Barnes & Noble is both the ultimate resource for families’ educational needs and the premier destination for fun.”
Children and parents attending the event will also learn about the free B&N Kids’ Club™, full of rewards and special offers. Customers signing up for the B&N Kids’ Club will receive a welcome gift via email of 30% off any one children’s book or toy. They’ll also earn a $5 reward for every $100 spent on children’s products in-store or online. Children whose parents enroll in the Kids’ Club will receive a free cupcake on their birthday from the Barnes & Noble Café. A monthly email newsletter features more club events and savings.
