Restful BackBends / A Lease on Life / Levels 1-3 • Sep 29, 2013 • Sep 29, 2014 • Mar 2, 2014
Science notes extension or back-bending of the human spine is essential for good health. They elongate the spine and restore nerve function throughout the body. Propped rehabilitating backbends in this series allow gentle, slow traction of the spine, wash away deep stress, revitalize nerves and teach us to detach and let go.

BackBends Strength / Levels 2+ • Oct 6, 2013 • Jan 12, 2014 • Mar 9, 2014
Grounding the four limbs in full backbends strengthens the arm, leg and back muscles, frees the groins, hips and sacrum, opens the chest, stretches the shoulders and neck/throat and improves overall health. In safe pose progressions, students develop comfort and ease as they learn to undo structural stiffness & weakness.

BackBend Lightness / Levels 3+ • Oct 13, 2013 • Jan 19, 2014 • Mar 16, 2014
Well done backbends, firm outside, while we keep soft inside - breathing and relaxing, institute lightness in the body, empower confidence and generate joy - the sense all's okay in the world. When strength and pliability support backbends they feel effortless, inviting and impossible to live without. Learn how.

Rooted Legs / All Levels • Oct 20, 2013 • Jan 26, 2014 • Mar 23, 2014
The grounded actions of the legs in standing and floor poses open the hips, unstitch the psoas, open the groins and develop neutral axes within the pelvis, spine, shoulders head and neck. As range of motion improves, the hips respond resiliently to weight-bearing. Find out how!

Lotus for Hips / Levels 2+ • Oct 27, 2013 • Feb 2, 2014 • Mar 30, 2014
Getting to lotus may be close for some and far for others but all will benefit. Gently deepening socket space, loosening the groins, freeing the psoas and lengthening the hams enables stress-free posture, agile gait and shock-absorbing weight-bearing that proliferates range, mobility, feels good and mitigates wear and tear.

65+ Age Well / Levels 1+ • Nov 3, 2013 • Feb 9, 2014 • April 6, 2014
Develop joint freedom, good biological health, self-empowerment, serenity and joy. A safe pose series will make you feel good all over as your shoulders and hips open, the spine gets long and even and as the /mind becomes centered and serene.

Neck Comfort in Asanas / All Levels • Nov 10, 2013 • April 13, 2014
Neck discomfort or fear of hurting or re-hurting the neck makes students leave poses but when the neck and head are correct, the rest of the body find equal correctness and comfort. Doing poses properly is not only pragmatic and safe, but the guidance system for empowerment, hopefulness, joy and freedom. Join us!

Perfect Twists / Levels 2+ • Nov 17, 2013 • Feb 23, 2014 • April 27, 2014
Twistings, if spot on, regenerate spinal health. Off-kilter twisting compress and degenerate the spine, heart and lungs. Teachers and students alike are amiss. Learn how to create space in the spine, hydrate discs and resolve shoulder, upper body and back troubles in standing, seated and supine twistings safely.
