Barnes & Noble Corte Madera Announces Free Storytime Lineup for May

Barnes & Noble Corte Madera store’s May lineup of free Storytime events for children and families are all designed to celebrate the joy of reading, creativity and fun. The events center around the popular children’s books Oh the Things My Mom Will Do by author/illustrator Marianne Richmond and Oh the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss.

Details are as follows:

Oh the Things My Mom Will Do(Mother’s Day Storytime) – On Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m., stores nationwide will celebrate reading via a free event for children ages 3 to 5 featuring Oh the Things My Mom Will Do, a story celebrating motherhood and all the touching things moms do out of love, by author/illustrator Marianne Richmond.  Participants will also enjoy a reading of the NOOK Book®If I Could Keep You Littleby Marianne Richmond. The digital fun continues with fun Mother’s Day-themed NOOK Apps™ like Preschool - Animals and Their Young, which helps children learn the names of baby animals, and Mommy Wallpaper!, which helps mom decorate her phone with baby’s footprints. Children will then participate in a Mother’s Day card-making craft.
 

Oh the Places You'll Go! – On Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m., stores across the country will host a free Storytime for children ages 4 to 8 featuring a Barnes & Noble bookseller favorite to kick off a summer of reading – Dr. Seuss’s Oh the Places You’ll Go! The story celebrates the adventures that lie ahead, whether out in the world or through the magic of books.  The book will be read and experienced either in hardcover or on NOOK® HD+. Children will also enjoy the Drawing Pad app on NOOK as they’re encouraged to draw the fun things they want to do this summer, their favorite activities during summer break, or their favorite Dr. Seuss characters.
