Read Across America Storytime: Green Eggs & Ham at B&N

Barnes & Noble Corte Madera will celebrate the National Education Association’s (NEA) Read Across America annual reading awareness program with a special Dr. Seuss Storytime event and activities on Monday, March 3 at 11am.

The celebrations will include a reading of the event’s feature title, Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs and Ham, now available as a Barnes & Noble Exclusive Edition for $8.99 with a foil cover, punch-out memory matching game featuring images and words from the book, plus a handy keepsake envelope affixed inside the back cover. Children are also invited to participate in fun activities, including mazes, coloring sheets and matching games, listen to additional Dr. Seuss stories, and other surprises.

“We’re excited to host events in honor of the NEA’s Read Across America celebration on Monday, March 3, when most schools are also celebrating the joy of reading,” said Laurel Kidd, Community Relations Manager, Barnes & Noble. “Our exclusive edition of Green Eggs and Ham is the perfect way to extend the reading experience and practice image and word recognition. With unmistakable characters and signature rhymes, Dr. Seuss' beloved favorite has cemented its place as a children's classic. Dr. Seuss’ Beginner Books encourage children to read all by themselves, with simple words and illustrations that give clues to their meaning.”
