Special Storytime hosted by St. Raphael School’s Leaders for Readers

Join us for a specially scheduled Storytime, hosted by students from the Leaders for Readers program of St. Raphael School, at Barnes & Noble Corte Madera on Wednesday, December 11th at 1pm.  Students will read some of their favorite holiday and year-round favorite picture books. All are invited to attend this free event.

This event is brought to you as part of the Bookfair Fundraiser for St. Raphael School, December 8-14.  From Sunday, December 8 to Saturday, December 14, Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of every sale made with a special Bookfair voucher to Saint Raphael School.  Vouchers will be available online at the Saint Raphael School website www.straphaelschool.com and in hard copy at the school.  You can also shop in support of Saint Raphael School by shopping online at www.bn.com/bookfairs from November 8-17, 2013 and include the Bookfair voucher ID (#11231842) on the payment page during checkout.

Leaders for Readers & Book Club is a student-driven reading program designed to increase younger students’ reading ability, while building self esteem and leadership qualities in older students. 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Leaders volunteer their time after school to share their skills and love of reading with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders. Students take ownership and pride in this program that instills a love of reading and a philosophy of service. Today, over half of the student body of Saint Raphael School is involved in the program.
