Star Wars Reads Day at Barnes & Noble!

Barnes & Noble Corte Madera, with BN stores nationwide, will host a free Star Wars Reads Day on Saturday, October 5!

Star Wars fans, young and old alike, are invited to dress as their favorite characters and join Barnes & Noble’s second-annual celebration of the popular intergalactic tales. Exclusive giveaways and activities from more than 18 publishers of Star Wars-related books will ensure Jedi and padawans from every age group will be delighted and entertained.

On Saturday, October 5th, Barnes & Noble Corte Madera will feature special events. 

11am:  Star Wars Activity & Storytime for children ages 3-7; attendees are invited to dress as their favorite Star Wars character.

2pm: Star Wars Costume Contest for all ages. 

Barnes & Noble Corte Madera will hold a raffle from Noon until 4pm to give away promotional Star Wars items, including posters, bookmarks, Star Wars Lego items, and exclusive Star Wars Reads Day wristbands and Star Wars book samplers from Del Rey publishers.

In addition, NOOKsellers will demonstrate the popular Angry Birds Star Wars game app on NOOK® HD+ and show fns the enormous variety of Star Wars novels, comics and magazines on the device’s spectacular HD screen.  With Google Play on NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ customers have access to more than 700,000 Android apps and games, millions of songs and more.

“Our first Star Wars Reads Day last year was a huge hit with customers,” said Sarah DiFrancesco, Director of Business Development for Barnes & Noble. “Stores are ramping up their event plans this year to make sure there’s something for the whole family, so we expect this year’s events to be even bigger and better.  Our publishing partners have come through with really fun activities and giveaways.  We think fans are going to turn out in force for these events."
