William Petrocelli in conversation with Isabel Allende at Book Passage

How far do the ripples of violence go? Beginning with a
mindless act of family violence in 2008, The Circle of Thirteen presents
a rich, textured thriller spanning seven decades, culminating in the desperate
effort by U.N. Security Director Julia Moro to stop a major act of terror. Bill
Petrocelli
weaves the story around themes of poverty, political
corruption, environmental disaster, and the backlash against the rising role of
women. This is part of the annual Litquake Festival.
